FAQ
How does Maker's Choice work?
Each piece follows one of our locked, permanent designs. The maker chooses the leather for you from what's currently in stock — no color selection on your end. Order it, and it's built by hand for you
How does Custom work?
You choose everything — leather color, thread color, and snap color — from what's currently available. Your piece is then cut and hand-stitched specifically for that combination, built entirely around your choices.
How do Drops work?
A limited, small-batch release, often in a leather or design outside the regular lineup. It's already made — no ordering ahead, no queue. Goes live at an announced time, first-come, first-served, and once it sells out, it's gone for good.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently shipping within the U.S. only.
What if I need to change something after ordering?
Reach out as soon as possible — since every piece is made to order, changes can usually be accommodated early on, but may not be possible once your piece is already in progress.
Do you accept returns for defects?
All sales are final, but if your piece arrives with a genuine manufacturing defect, reach out and we'll make it right.
How do I care for my leather piece?
Leather generally needs very little upkeep, and dryness isn't common — most pieces do fine for a long time with no maintenance at all. If your leather ever starts to feel dry or stiff, a leather conditioning balm (widely available online) can be applied occasionally to restore it:
- Wipe the leather clean with a soft, dry cloth first
- Apply a small amount of balm to a clean cloth — a little goes a long way
- Rub it into the leather using small, circular motions, covering the surface evenly
- Let it absorb for a few minutes, then wipe away any excess
- Allow it to dry naturally before use
What is the Journal?
The Journal is where we share notes on leatherwork, patina, and the craft behind Ravenlight — care tips, myth-busting, and the occasional look behind the scenes. Not sales content, just things worth knowing if you own or care about good leather.
